Leadership development and learning the processes that make a leader great have always been a strong interest of mine. I chose to coach because I love the sport of basketball; but more importantly because I had a passion for empowering other to be their best. I have read books upon books, listened to podcasts, and saved so many social media posts that might give me insight into what it takes to be an impactful leader. After years and years of scrolling, reading and listening I believe I know the secret ingredient. The one quality all successful leaders possess is self awareness. Without having a clear and honest assessment of who you are; what is important to you, what you do well, and what you struggle with, a leader will never fully reach their potential. Once you have the ability to clearly and authentically see yourself you then can truly gain the other vital qualities of being a strong leader.

Executive coaching is utilized by leaders to guide them through the process of gaining self awareness.. An effective executive coach will provide a safe and confidential environment for the client to take that journey. The coach will ask exploratory questions, make insightful observations and help the client create clear goals and an action plan to be the leader they want to be. Clients have the answers to their own questions. An executive coach serves as a thought partner to tap into those answers and help the client get that secret ingredient: SELF AWARENESS.
